‘CII to come up with world class multi skill institute in Himachal’

DHARAMSHALA: Director General of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has announced to establish a world class multi skill institute and model career centre in Himachal Pradesh. This center will come up at this hill destination with a target of training at least 10000 youths in various sector to make them employable. CII is the partner in hosting global investor meet which began today here.

Chanderjeet Banerjee, DG of CII was the first to address the gathering in the list of distinguished guests sharing dais with the Prime Minister Narendera Modi at the event when he made this announcement.

“We have identified an agenda to work on the vision of Prime Minister to generate employment in the country. Following this we are coming a world standard skill institute and model career centre in Dharamshala” he said.

Banerjee also highlighted the focus areas of the CII to execute the functioning of this institute in hill state like Himachal Pradesh.

This centre will impart training in the sectors of beauty, hospitality, beauty, wellness, electronics and household appliances to the youths, he added.

“Institute will provide career counselling to about 10000 youths and with placements to many” told Banerjee to the gathering of above 1500 investors.

The focus sector is agriculture where we will link the apple growers with the process industry to further explore the opportunities in food industry” he added.
