Two-day event ‘Enigma XI’ begins at UGI, Naini

ALLAHABAD: A much awaited two days techno-cultural event ‘Enigma XI’ started with all excitement at United Group of Institution (UGI) Allahabad, on Tuesday. Several of the colleges of the city are participating in the two-day event, which was inaugurated by deputy chief minister of the state Keshav Prasad Maurya in the evening.

Enigma is a techno-cultural event which is being celebrated as a big festival in UGI wherein around 2500 students have participated in the fest. The public relation officer of the institute, Siddharth Kumar Thakur said the event started with the inaugural session. Principals and deans of colleges including KK Malviya, Nandita Pradhan, Prof Sanjay Srivastava etc together started the proceeding by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

The chief guest, deputy CM formally announced the opening of starlight event by lighting of the lamp in the evening. He also felicitated the core committee members of the event and extended good wishes for the success of the program. President UGI Jagdish Gulati, vice chairman Satpal Gulati,vice president Gaurav Gulati, Vansh Gulati welcomed the honorable deputy CM.

At inaugural session dancer world group and other enthralled the jam packed auditorium with their dance performance. On the first day there were several events which were carried out by the students including Alankar solo/duet, aeromodelling, BOB, megastructures, hurdle mania, wild soccer, autobots, maze runner , codex, ad maniac, quiz mania, junkyard, prastuti, MUN, Swordfish: CS, NFS , mini militia, flashes, rusties etc.

A live concert by famous bollywood celebrity singer Darshan Rawal was the highlight of the day first. With his foot tapping hit numbers “Tera Zikr”, “Chogada” and “Kamariya”, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’s and “Yaara Teri Yaari” he made young crowd thoroughly enjoyed the night.
